LIONS GATE PORTAL:

All Night Meditation & Gong

August 8, 2026 from 7pm-9am

A whole night to dream big — to align your vibration with something far greater than you alone.

Once a year, the sky leaves a door open. For one night you set down the managing, the deciding, the weight everyone leans on you to carry, and rest on the land while sound moves through you until morning.

When your dreams and prayers are cast into the ethers, it is heard..

Why This Night?

To consider is con-sidus — to sit with the stars.

To desire, de-sidere, is to long for what the stars once promised.

Both words remember something a lot of us have forgotten.

People have always read the sky to know when to begin. Every year in early August, the Sun in Leo draws close to Sirius — the brightest star we can see — as it lifts again over the horizon after weeks away. The ancient Egyptians watched for exactly this return. Its rising announced the flooding of the Nile, the waters that fed the whole valley back into life. A star vanishes, then comes back, and the world is fed. They built a calendar around it. They called it a new year.

This is the Lion's Gate. 8/8 — the eight laid on its side, the figure with no end. It is a thin veil between worlds,  a door that opens for you, for as long as you are willing to arrive.

What you bring to this special moment gets amplified. Your prayers, intentions, the quiet ask you have carried for months or even years— bring it here, to this night, with your body open and the gongs moving through you, and cast it outward.

What you send rises, and it is met.

What a Gong Actually Does to You

Have you ever heard a sound too wide to follow?

A melody, the mind can track. It predicts the next note, stays a step ahead, keeps working. The gong arrives as everything at once. One strike releases a flood of overtones — dozens of frequencies, rising and folding into each other beyond any pattern the mind can chase — and the mind, met by more than it can track, finally rests.

That is the whole of the medicine. Underneath the thinking, your body has been waiting. A gong is felt before it is heard. You are mostly water, and sound moves through water; the vibration

travels the whole length of you. The nervous system begins to soften and open. Your breath lengthens on its own. Your brain drifts down toward the slow waves of deep rest — in this place found just before sleep.

You simply rest and receive.

That is why it is called a bath. Four gongs, sounded from the four directions through the night, hold you inside a sound wide enough to rest in until morning — when the last one falls quiet, and the silence it leaves behind turns out to be its own kind of sound.

The Shape of the Night

4:00–7:00 PM

Arrival — Settle into the lodge, choose your place, walk along the trails. Time to land before the night begins. Bring your own food or purchase a meal onsite.

7:00 PM

Opening Circle · Kundalini Yoga & Visioning Practice  with Esther— We gather, then move — we do a Kundalini set to wake the body, free the breath, and bring you clear on the one intention you carry through the gate.

9:00 PM

Make Your Nest — A pause to build your sleeping station — blankets, pillow, eye cover. Settle in for the night ahead.

9:30 PM

The Five-Element Sound Bath — Sinique guides you down through the elements and into the wisdom of the body. The night turns toward receiving.

10:30 PM–6:00 AM

The Four-Gong Bath — Four gongs, four directions, sounding until dawn. Lie down. Receive. Take it in. Rest as deeply as you like — the sound works either way.

6:00 AM

Morning Sadhana — Greet the first light with practice — meditation and devotion to meet the day you have crossed into.

8:00 AM

Cacao & Closing Circle — Anchor what surfaced, in the sweetness of cacao and the company of the circle. Fresh fruit to close. Then home, carrying the night with you.

One continuous arc —

you arrive in daylight and leave in it, with the whole of the dark hours in between.

Who This Is For

This night is for you if you feel:

The Pull — You can feel a deeper version of yourself waiting to be met, and you are ready to meet it.

The Longing for Rest — Real rest — a true reset for a nervous system that has run at full tilt for years.

The Wish to Release & Re-imagine — You are carrying a pattern, a grief, a season that is complete, and you are ready to set it down and make way for something new.

The Call to Gather in Prayer and Devotion — You want to connect with others and raise your frequency so that you can be strengthened and thus can strengthen others in your community.

Psychology, before the textbooks got hold of it, meant something closer to the study of the soul — psyche, soul; logos, study. Somewhere along the way the field kept the study and let the soul slip from view. Esther's work has been the long remembering of it.

For over twenty-five years she has worked as a psychotherapist and art therapist, and for more than twenty as a teacher of Kundalini yoga and breathwork — in clinics, hospitals, private practice, and, during the pandemic, outdoors, walking sessions through the parks of Montreal with the earth as co-therapist. What she found there became the SEED Lodge: fifty-six acres of forest and farmland near Georgian Bay, and the conviction that we heal in relationship — in nature, in community, in creative practice, and in the simple act of receiving care that is freely given, yours for showing up.

At the Lion's Gate gong night, Esther opens the circle and leads the Kundalini and visioning practice that sets your intention and clears the way — then holds the container through the dark to the morning's close.

Sinique Martínez is the founder of Yakuna Path and a somatic guide devoted to helping people remember their own wholeness through the wisdom of the five elements. With seven years of facilitation and more than three decades of study in the yogic sciences, energy healing, and herbalism, she works through Kundalini-inspired yoga, five-element sound healing, breathwork, and ritual — grounded in a simple belief: that healing begins when we make space for the body to speak, and then listen.

She has guided over five hundred people in bilingual sessions, English and Spanish, from cancer patients to corporate teams, helping them release limiting patterns and settle into a steadier, more grounded way of being.

For the Lion's Gate gong night, Sinique co-facilitates the all-night gong bath, offers the five-element sound bath, and hosts the morning cacao circle — a full-circle immersion in rest, release, and renewal.
